Each year, during Trans Awareness Week (13–19 November) we take a vital moment to centre and amplify the voices of trans and gender-diverse people — a time to share stories, challenge discrimination and deepen understanding.
Harper, Trans & They/Them, shared:

“The LGBTQ+ inclusive football sessions are important to me. When I came out as trans, I stopped playing football with the people I grew up with. The sessions have provided a safe space for LGBTQ+ people where they might not feel safe or comfortable playing elsewhere, and no matter what your experience or quality, everyone is welcome and involved.”
“I like how kind the people are that go regularly, and I can now not only play football in a friendly environment but also have a chat and a laugh with people like me. The sessions are also more comfortable for me as an autistic person. The people that run and organise the inclusive football are very friendly and always make me feel comfortable.”
