Sheffield United Women & Rainbow Blades our thrilled to announce that Satara Murray has become our new Rainbow Blades Champion.
“To me, it means standing up for marginalised groups. Being a part of the community myself, this is a big deal. It’s still very new for me as well, but to me, it’s standing up for a group & learning more about it as well.” said Satara Murray.
“This is another big moment for Rainbow Blades & Sheffield United. I know it will mean a lot to LGBTQ+ Blades having the Women’s Captain as a Champion. LGBTQ+ champions are vitally important for visibility, positive change in the game and as role models.” said James Laley

Someone who represents & supports our group and values. Rainbow Blades Champions can be industry professionals, players, managers, other staff and notable people. A champion is someone who lends their voice and actively supports and advocates for Rainbow Blades.
