Remembering Maddy - Two Years On

From joining in 2019, Maddy Cusack made over 100 appearances for the Blades, becoming the first female player to do so. She was also named Vice Captain of Sheffield United Women in the summer of 2023.

As well as being a player, Maddy was also a marketing executive for Sheffield United, further showing her dedication to the club. Maddy also offered her support to the LGBTQ Community through Rainbow Blades, where she had been a proud representative - a role which led to her being inducted into the Rainbow Blades Hall of Fame following her tragic death.

During her four years as a Blade, Maddy Cusack was more than just a player. She was a hero, ' Miss Sheffield United', someone who supported not just her teammates, but also the club and community as a whole.

She will never be forgotten.
